Description

Blaaah it feels SO NICE to be able to sit back and draw what I want to again; I've been so busy lately, what with a new job and everything ;v;

Anyways, here's some Warriors Cats OCs that I've been wanting to draw for awhile!!!

From left to right: Elm (Elmstar), Pine (Pinestar), Luna, Maple (Maplestar), and Oak (Oakstar)

Here's the story behind them, if you're interested!!:

In a dense and prey-rich forest lives several feral cats. Some of them ran away from their Twoleg nests, while some of them were simply born within these woods and never left. There are no rules, no leadership, it was more or less cat anarchy.

One such resident of this forest was a rogue named Luna. Heavily pregnant with kits and abandoned by the father, she avoided everyone and everything. She had very little trust in the other cats of the woods. So, when it was finally time to give birth, she was completely alone.

When she gave birth, the conditions weren't optimal. It was a cold winter night, with nothing but the stars and the full moon to illuminate the forest. She had her kits in a clearing in the middle of the woods, where she was surrounded by the only four trees that still thrived in the cold weather: an elm tree, a pine tree, a maple tree, and an oak tree.

Despite the situation, Luna gave birth to four very healthy kits, and named them Elm, Pine, Maple and Oak.

She raised them alone, teaching them to hunt and to fight. Luna was a paranoid and isolated cat, so she raised her kits to care for each other, so that they wouldn't end up like her. The four siblings grew to be close friends.

However, as all this was going on, an evil band of rogues decided that they wanted to have the forest and all of it's riches to themselves. They forced other cats to join their group, and killed those who wouldn't. Many cats ran, and many others went into hiding.

One day, when the four siblings are roughly apprentice aged, they found Luna dead in the middle of the same clearing that they were born in, murdered by the rogues. The four siblings were devastated, and devised a plan to get back at these rogues and chase them out for good. At the clearing of the four trees, they each split up with the intention of building an army and meeting back in the clearing at the next full moon.

Each sibling formed a brilliant army, and together, they fought and chased off the evil rogues. Afterwards, all cats agreed that this forest needed structure, not chaos, so that this wouldn't happen again. For that, they'd need a set of rules, and a leader.

However, each army fought over which of their leaders should be THEIR leader. For example, all the cats that Elm brought together in her army wanted Elm to be the leader, because they knew of her level head and leadership skills. Despite the four siblings not wanting to split up, they saw no other choice. Each group found their own territory on the forest, and thus was the birth of ElmClan, PineClan, MapleClan, and OakClan (four clans that I've been developing for a little bit!!!)

Here's a little bit about each leader!:

Elm - Out of all of her siblings, Elm probably has the most leader potential. Oldest of her litter, she's level-headed and fair, but isn't afraid to put her paw down. She becomes the leader of her Clan very naturally, and most of her Clan supports her (though many also think that she comes off as cold sometimes). However, Elm also believes in the 'greater good', so to speak. For example, if it's a bare season and her Clan is starving, then she won't hesitate to invade a sibling's Clan to feed them. She ends up having one kit with a kittypet named Slick to preserve her legacy; she has a son named Silver, who leads the Clan after her death.

Pine - Above all else, Pine is a loving cat. He loves his siblings, and he loves the mates that he meets overtime (a she-cat named Molly and a nonbinary calico named Jeeves; the three of them form a loving relationship together). He's friendly and flirty, and efficient at his job as leader. He's sometimes at a loss of what to when problems arise, but luckily, he gets along with so many cats that they'll help him out when needed. Overall, he's a very charming cat with a lot of love for his family. He ends up having five kits with Molly and four kits with Jeeves; nine children who he loves very, very much.

Maple - She was never really leader material, which makes it stressful when an entire army of cats wants her to lead them. She's pretty lax, wanting nothing more than to crack jokes and share tongues with friends. Despite being leader, she's very casual with her Clanmates; it doesn't win her a lot of respect as a leader, but it generally makes her pretty well liked. Some see her as a pushover, but if one of her sibling's Clans tries to start problems with her Clan, then Maple won't mind letting one of her more violence-hungry Clanmates take the reigns and looking the other way. She ends up falling for a tom named Firecracker, a kittypet who's owner goes missing. They have three kits between them; however, one day, Firecracker's owner comes looking for him in the woods. Firecracker chooses his owner over his family, leaving Maple with the stress of being a single mother as well as leader of the Clan. Maple later ends up with a she-cat named Blueberry, and they happily grow old together.

Oak - Many cats flocked to Oak for his largeness and his strength. He's so powerful that there are rumors of him fighting off foxes, bears, or any other creatures that could be found in the woods. However, Oak is the biggest softie in the forest. He's cowardly, a huge pacifist, and completely lacks a backbone. He panics under pressure, and tends to make decisions with horrendous consequences (for example, he falls in love with the daughter of the leader of the evil rogues, Ember, and she has four of his kits; this gets him in trouble with his own and all the other Clans). Despite his constant mistakes, his Clan still respects him due to his strength and size, knowing that no other cat would mess with them as long as Oak is around.

And here's some fun little trivia about these cats and these Clans in general!!:

- There have been more than one war between the siblings' Clans; however, the only two siblings who never battled against each other were Maple and Oak. They always got along most out of all of their siblings; Maple knows what a big softie Oak is and tries to look out for him, and Oak respects Maple for being so brave and cool when she's nowhere near as intimidating as he looks. Because of this, MapleClan and OakClan have a reputation for generally getting along, though there have been some battles here and there.

- Despite being called Elmstar, Pinestar, Maplestar and Oakstar in their present day Clans, the four siblings never actually got the chance to have nine lives. It was the leaders after them that first received their nine lives.

- The clearing that the siblings were born in is what eventually becomes the Gathering place.

- To this day, Luna is considered the 'Mother of the Clans', as she was the mother of the four ancient founders. The moon is often called Luna or Lunastar, and it's said that the moon is her watchful eye, looking after the Clans. That's why Gatherings take place on the full moon, so that Luna can watch them get along, and most battles take place when the moon isn't in the sky/is hidden, so that Luna won't have to see the Clans fighting. The moon is also a symbol of motherhood, and it's said that kits born under the moon (ESPECIALLY full moon) are blessed from StarClans themselves (even more so if they're born in snow-bare, as the founders were). Kits who are born when the moon is hidden are usually considered to be cursed in some way, though many cats don't actually believe that.

- There are no Thunderpaths in these woods; however, there are paths that Twolegs usually walk. The cats don't dislike Twolegs; in fact, they're seen as godly figures. Cats tend to respect them and stay out of their way (if a Twoleg happens to pet a Clan cat, rumors say that good luck will follow that cat around).

- Rogues and kittypets are still generally disliked by Clan cats; however, if one wants to join the Clans, then they are almost always taken in. They're given a month long period to fit in and make their choice before they get their warrior names (and most usually make it). They are no longer judged after that point, because they "made the right choice" to join the Clans.

- Having kits with a medicine cat/cat from another Clan is very much forbidden, as expected. However, queens who are pregnant with kits of a rogue or kittypet are generally accepted, as they aren't against the warrior code and won't hurt the clan in any way.

Aaaand I think that's it!!! If you read this far, thank you so much <3
